Hello,
since I have been running a YOU on my SuSE 10 one of my two dvd-Devices is
not usable anymore. /etc/fstab contains as before
/dev/dvd /media/dvd subfs
noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/dvdram /media/dvdram subfs
noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
(line breaking not relevant).
a
ls -l /dev/dvd* results also as expected in
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 2005-12-29 15:49 /dev/dvd -> hdb
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 2005-12-29 15:48 /dev/dvdram -> hdd
Unfortunately I can insert into the /dev/dvd-DVD-Device anything I want,
however /media/dvd will always stay empty, and on konsole a ls /media/dvd
results in a "no medium found". Even manual mounting does'nt change
anything.
In spite of this, these problems don't occur with /dev/dvdram, although I
can't see any differences in konfiguration between those two devices.
Because I don't know much about about this automount and HAL-stuff, but I
would like to use it further more, because it is quite convenient, I would
appreciate any ideas to solve my problem.
Thanks so much in advance
Claudius
