I found some info on your computer model, I think. It is posted below:
****************************************
Display
Display Type
14.1" TFT active matrix integrated
Max Resolution
1024 x 768 / 24-bit (16.7 million colors)
*******************************************
Video
Graphics Processor / Vendor
S3 Savage MX - AGP 2x
Video Memory
SGRAM - 8 MB
Max Resolution (external)
1600 x 1200 / 16-bit (64K colors)
Supported Display Graphics
VGA (640x480), XGA (1024x768), SVGA (800x600), SXGA (1280x1024)
Video Output Supported
NTSC, PAL
Now, if this information is correct, your maximum resolution or "Native
Resolution" is 1024x768 When you run any of the available video
configuration utilities, you will want to specify that resolution as the
ONLY ONE, and no others. Additionally, you must ensure, manually if
necessary, that the size of your monitor or display screen, is set in the
configuration utility. I'm assuming that you're using sax2 configuration
utility, run from within Yast. You need to make sure that utility knows
that you're using a 14.1 inch display. I think that that measurement is a
diagonal measurement, but you should take a measuring rule, and measure
the width and height of the display screen, to be sure that the
configuration utility knows the two measurements precisely.
Then, also within the video configuration utility, make sure that you
specify 60hz as the vertical refresh rate. Not a range of values, but
rather _a single value, 60hz_
Try all of these things, and let us know how it improves.
Regards, and sorry for the late reply....
