Skype on SUSE 10.0

Hello:
I have rarely been able to use Skype with Linux SUSE 10.0 (and Fedora too)
with the level of quality that Windows XP gives.
Slype is the only program that I use often on Windows...
Would it be a way to get a well behaving Skype on SUSE?
What is your experience?
