I mostly use the Xbox as a media player, so it is just setup with a few apps
and Xbox Media Centre (XBMC). I couldnt use the software hack for
installing linux as it had already ben 'patched' for me by MS when I joined
a LAN party once 8) I need to beef up the hdd before I try installing linux
on it anyway.
For the Dlink - does it also support a USB connection? If so, attach to that
and install appropriate drivers (for me I set this up on my Windows box
first) Once connected the manual indicated I could telnet to it using
hyperterminal on a comm port, then issue an IP set command. So long since I
did it now I can't remember the details. What model is it? I'll see if I
can help you out with it.
