SUSE 10 won't configure via-82xx sound card.
Yast's sound applet will not configure my VIA 82xx on-board sound card.
It reports "kernel module for snd-via82xx could not be loaded".
Alsaconf WILL configure the sound card, but it won't stay configured
through a reboot; I end up having to re-run alsaconf every time my wife
reboots her computer, which is rather inconvenient.
What's the malfunction?
It worked fine under Mandrake, so I doubt it's a hardware problem.
