KMail not launching

Using SuSE 10.0 and KDE 3.5 on a Toshiba Satellite with P4 processor and 1GB
RAM.
In the middle of working on the machine and closed down Kmail to work on
something els, when trying to reopen the program nothing is happening. I
can see the taskbar and cursor indicators that it's launching as working
for some seconds before it stops.
When I sign in as root, there is no problem to open the program, so I think
the problem must be located in the user setting? Anybody has had this
problem before and can lead me in the right direction? After some searching
on Goggle I found out there has been a bug in the program, but that was in
December. If more information is needed, please tell me.
