suse is blocking ethernet card ?

Hi.
I use to have only winXP on my PC, but I would like to really learn
linux, so several days ago I instaled Suse 10.0 - I have dual bot
(WinXP + Suse) right now. I really like this distribution so far,
before I tried Slack, but what I can see - Suse is much more user
friendly, and just seems better to me. BUT since Suse is there, the
internet under the WindowsXP is gone. My PC is connected to router
(Linksys), and whenever I'm working with linux, everything is fine, I
mean internet is working, but if I would like to run Windows, and then
use the internet - I'm sorry but internet is not there. Windows says
"calble is unpluged". 8-}
It's really weird, because since linux is on my hd, I didn't do any
changes of configuration of winXP.
Anyway, under the windows the control light (of router) for the cable
that is connected to my PC, is not working. For me it seems like, linux
somehow, after its shutdown, also kills my etherned card. I have second
PC (winXP) conneted to the same router, and internet is working there
with no problems, so far ...
I'm really confused, I was asking people in diffrent groups, but nobody
even answer once.
Thank YOU for any help.
best regards
matt
