I see in yast that kpowersave and the daemon is installed and in K
control center the Powers menu is relevant for laptops not desktops.
SOo I do not understand why the message is being shown.
However, I tried
pc1:/home/user1 # /usr/bin/powersaved start
with the result:
bash: /usr/bin/powersaved: No such file or directory
Any comments please?

Thats because it is in sbin.
A better command would be 'rcpowersaved start' as root.
