BINGO, the stupid people at HSBC thinks I am using IE now, every one

No, not everybody is happy. You have just shown them that you are using
Windows and IE, making it even less likely they will change their
politics. It will also be a less likely you will now change banks,
because now it works.

All i can say is that it's such a shame that some webmasters make their
users suffer by making them use IE(not all know about agent switcher
and not all seek help, they simply switch to IE),when there are so many
web browsers out there, which are much more secure and capable (and did
i mention free)

My $.02 USD worth:

Having been in the banking technology industry for 25+ years, the vast
majority do not develop their own software. Most use
packages/solutions licensed from third parties. It is a combination
of these third parties and the repressive regulators (i.e.: big
business directed governmental agencies) that cause this crap.

I might add that if one does complain that if his business will be
taken elsewhere unless the bank starts supporting OSes other than
Micro$crap I would recommend you move your account without waiting for
a reply.

Been there, done that!

good luck.
