My video problems redux

I pulled down the updates this morning which contained an
update for the NVidia which I hoped may solve my resolution
problem. After doing the update and rebooting the system
my user screen came up rather odd. Clicking the screen icon showed
a list of at least 20 resolution which maxed out at 1600x1050
which was currently selected (less than 10 selections were
available prior to update). Thus my aspect ratio was off.
Still no 1600x1200. To get a halfway decent screen I had to
select 1280x1024.

Obviously, suse is still screwed up with this driver.

BTW: SaX2 shows:

Card: NVidia GeForce 6800 (0x00C1)
Monitor: DELL 2001FP

which matches my DELL invoice.

I think suse should go and steal Mandriva's 2005LE driver as it
worked fine on this hardware.

Any other ideas would be appreciated but I think the may be
a difficult one.
