In about 99% of the cases, yes. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

When you call your version broke depends on whatever YOU decide. A lot
of people call 'not being the latest version' broke. I don't. I look for
technical reasons, not the marketing RahRah that the newer version has a
new background, or an extra feature that you before never missed and
won't use anyway.
