Naturaly this is useless when you almost never reboot.
ntpd is "Automatically Start When booting from system". Do you know the
purpose of ntpd? Of course it is only useful if you have a continuous
connection to the server(s) or a hardware radio clock to synchronize with.
Go into Yast - Network services - NTP Client.
For me that means a client, not a server.
So I am probably mistaken. How often does this server check for the
time? Also there might be computers that are not connected to a network
all the time and still need to have the correct time once they are
connected.
