Oops. I think I just found the problem.

The Settings->Dynamic Mode button was depressed. This was not immediately
obvious as the symbol in the drop down menu changes visually only slightly
when activated.

I did not expect dynamic mode to act like that however. It played ALL the
the Track01's in the collection in turn, then ALL the Track02's etc.
Oh well. Ta.
