A Working Media Player

I have installed SuSE 9.3 out of the box. I went on YOU to get all
the updates including those that make .MP3 apps work.

Now, what do I need to install to have a working Media Player for
online video. I am talking about they type that TV news uses. With
Windows, I click and the media player effortlessly plays the video
clip. No luck here as yet.

Please list packages needed and where I can obtain them.
Also any other "helpful" hints as I am an internediate Linux user.
