You should not try to install rc1, it's not a released product.
It's not for you, it's for experienced users.
Wait for the release or install the latest stable, 10.0.
Thank you for your concern, I really appreciate your opinion.
I was trying to install RC1 to see if my problem of freezing when
making Fn-F4 (see my post of april 2nd) was resolved in the
forthcoming 10.1, and eventually fill a bug report if not. I'm aware
that RC1 is not completely stable, but I'm not afraid of that, it will
not be used as a production system (I had already linux installed, but
since I swapped my destop PC for a laptop, I can't manage to have a
working linux system)
Nevetherless, the pb will be the same with the final version, I would
prefer an internet install, because of my low BW, and I will be happy
to find how to do.
