I do understand what you are saying, but stressing it the way you do, I
think, creates confusion, rather than dispells it. (My view, only, but
it's the only one I've got, so I have to fly with it.) I'll be perfectly
happy when the former naming paradigm is back in place. One OS name, and
all related directories in one place, on one set of mirrors. It used to be
so simple. I never could see the practicality of having to have two sets
of mirrors to accomplish what had always been done from one.
