When you come to install a new version of SUSE Linux (or to install a
different distribution), I would recommend a clean install, but many
people have said that SUSE Linux 10 was very easy to install as an
upgrade from an earlier version and I would expect this to be true of
future versions too.
Much depends on how much changes there are done by yourself to your
system. I have heard people having problems doing an update from RC3.
But then that could be expected.
And you can always try an update and if it does not work, do the new
installation.
