Dear susians,
I am running a script in php 4 to write data to a text file. The output
size of my file will be around 10G, but when the scripts reaches an
output file size of 2G is hangs with the message "File size limit
exceeded". A already checked the a lot of similar problems on the
internet but did not found a solution.
I am working with the standard Suse 9.0 distribution with kernel
2.4.21-303-smp4G and glibc 2.3.3-93. If I understood it correctly it
should support LFS. Any suggestions on what can be wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Stef
What is your filesystem type? , I guess the limit is there.

Thanks for your help!
When I run:
stefaanlh@linux:/> mount
/dev/sda3 on / type reiserfs (rw)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,mode=0620,gid=5)
tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
usbdevfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw)
So I assume it is reiserfs. The boot message gives me:
reiserfs: found format "3.6" with standard journal
When I checked http://www.suse.de/~aj/linux_lfs.html ,
I assume it should normally work? Or am I wrong?
FYI:
stefaanlh@linux:/> cat /proc/version
gives me:
Linux version 2.4.21-303-smp4G (root@xxxxxxxxxxxx)
(gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)) #1 SMP Tue Dec 6 12:33:10 UTC 2005
Kind regards,
Stef
