I have a 300GB Hard drive that I want to test Linux on. Is it possible to
install it on this drive without touching my C Drive. Is it possible to
install it entirely on the external drive, bootloader and all. I have a
high spec comp:
P4 3.2GHz
2GB RAM
1x160GB HDD
500GB RAID 0
6800GT
Thanks in advance

I have Suse 10.1 running on a Fujitsu Siemens notebook, Amillo A7640 Amd
Athlon 3200 mhz 1,5 gb ram installed on an usb extern hard drive and
seems like it is just as fast as it being installed on the intern hard
drive. Only prob I am having is getting grup to install the boot menu on
a usb floppy as my notebook does not have one intern.
