I think that the current version of Synaptic won't compile under GCC
4.1. Probably this will be fixed eventually.

Hi y'all,
anybody knows how to install Synaptic on SUSE 10.1? Coz after much pain
and suffering, i got apt working (had to configure yum first, then
install apt using yum, nothing else worked), but i'd really appreciate
synaptic (or kynaptic, for that matter). No, "apt-get install synaptic"
doesn't work, it's nowhere to be found in ftp4.gwdg.de repositories
that are used by apt. Any ideas how to get it? I already got the rpm,
but it complains about missing libs, and i don't fancy the idea of
downloading and installing all these libs by hand. A well-stocked
repository would help. TIA
