Well it isn't Chinese ! If you were writing a bootable cd that's how you
do
it in Linux. Since you didn't say what the floppy was used for I was
guessing. Anyway, a full 1.44MB floppy should not take more than 2
minutes tops !! So if it takes more than that something isn't right...in

unclear or out of line as to warrant such rude treatment by you.

I don't think I was out of line. So many people come to Linux and expect
everything to be exactly as it is in Windows. They do not know the reason
for the differences is in large part due to the closed proprietary market
place and the dominance of one player. So instead of describing there
problem with DETAILS they just make some statement and expect us to know
what they're doing. They will not spend any time trying to google for the
answer and they don't read any documentation, HOWTO's, man pages,
info...etc.. Well this is not Windows. I don't think I'm acting like a
jerk. At least I take the time to try to help. I don't think that's being
a jerk. I help many people out on a regular basis and even if they don't
know what they're doing I still try to help out. In fact I usually provide
fairly detailed answers. Sometimes they're not the best answers but at
least I do try to help. Now what did you do in this thread to help.
Answer..NOTHING ! Just criticize me. Now I call that being a jerk !!

But don't worry, I'll just go on helping whoever asks. I'm just trying to
get the guy to be more specific when trying to get help. Usually someone
who states in their post something about "windoz" they probably don't know
a lot about Linux. That is why I tried to put him on the path to providing
more detailed information.

P.S. Don't start a flame war here. I do not do that!! If you want to
provide usefull information then that's fine. Otherwise you'll
get 'killfiled' and no one will see anything you do. Just try to get
along.

P.S. If you think I'm being a jerk then you've never been stung by
Houghi !! I like the guy and we get along just fine. But he's been known
to be pretty severe with newbies. First time it happened to me I thought
the guy was a big jerk but then I realized he was absolutely right. If you
don't take the time to provide clear details about your problem how can
anyone help you in an informed manner. Everyone has a slightly different
configuration and that causes things to happen in different ways. You need
to provide some information. You need to be concise.

So there you have it. I just took several minutes to respond to your
castigating remarks so you'll understand where I'm coming from. I'm not
angry and I don't dislike you. I try to like everybody. I'll forgive you
if you do so in kind. Make peace not war. Love they neighbor, but stay
away from his wife..:-)

P.S. I probably should not have responded to your post but there you have
it. I took the time to help you to understand. So now it's up to you to
decide what you're going to do. Think about that before you decide. In
fact, I find in situations like this it's best to NOT respond until the
next day when you've had time to realize what the right response is. Cool

P.S. By the way the original poster says I must be speaking Chinese when I
made a detailed description of how to create a bootable floppy disk. So,
no he does NOT know a lot about Linux. That is what's obvious. You should
have read that and understood so. But perhaps you missed that point. It
wasn't Chinese. It was 'geekease' :-)

They have a right to expect simple help when required, otherwise people who're fond of windows wont bother their arse converting. You tit.
