Does this mean you are having problems with SMART? I know I am. There is
some python script error, and I can't figure out what to do with it.

I would like to try it - but can't. At least apt-get works fine.

Actually I've been having problems with dependencies needed for Smart, the
last one was python-abi. I haven't pursued anything for several days, I've
been tied up with lots of outdoors projects. I will get back to this soon
though.
