I would also suggest redownloading all the multimedia packages from
Packman (http://packman.mirrors.skynet.be/pub/packman/suse/10.1/i586/)
or Guru (http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-guru/rpm/10.1/RPMS/)
using something like the smart package manager
(http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/rpm-navigation.php?cat=System/smart/).

This will resolve the needed dependencies. For example, you also need
the windows codecs.


OK I'm a real Nubie when it comes to this. I've tried to cut & past the
URL in the message above into Yast and it doesn't work. It says that it
can't create a catalog. I've done this in Yast / instalation source /
add / URL, and tried to paste the link into the add field.

I've downloaded a .rpm file for my APC UPS to my desktop and tried to
install it from there by double clicking in it and clicking the "install
using YAST" button. NO Joy either.
