and once when it is copied.
What does `vim 123.jpg` give you as the few first 30 (or so) caracters?
Compare that with files that DO work.

The problem is not related to whether they are Windows programs or not.

As all the examples were windows programs, I was thinking of an issue
there. Sorry.
