I am running suse 10.1 on a 586 system. I can play mps files using amarok,

format.
what shall I install, what do I need to be able to handle mp3 files thru
k3b. I am not sure if this helps but in the settings/programs, there are a
few programs that are not found including tcdecode ... not sure how to fix
this.
appreciate your help.
k3b-mad or or the like. Add packman, guru and the ones from 1.1 from
http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_YaST_Package_Repositories to you
installation source
I would like to do what the op asks, also, and I had a look. I had guru
and packman as install sources anyway, and I found that (yast autocheck)
there are a number of declared conflicts if I initially ask for k3b-mad
and or k3b-lame. I am using suse 10.0, updated.
I am also using mplayer, which also appears in the conflicts list.
I am not really deep enough into it (resolving conflicts etc) to make
easy sense of these conflicts, which I would want to avoid ultimately.
It looks as if the version of k3b I have with 10.0 is maybe not the best
one for all this. Is it something which is wrapped up in suse 10.1?
