Not able to browse with Firefox

Hi everyone,

I have got very wiered problem with my SuSe 10.1 laptop. I have adsl
broadbad in my home which uses Huwei WiFi router. this router also have
ethernet port which i connect to my laptop. This router also have
internal ppp dialer so i dont need to dial it from linux to get to the
internet.

Now my problem is that i am able to browse and use the internet through
konquere and in the console but firefox doesnt recognise the presence
of internet connection. This quite wiered. I even can access Yast
Update tool but i can use cvs/links etc from consol to browse my
sorcecode.

I am not sure where is the problem, is it as router side or m missing
some setting??

Please do help me.

PS: I have not tried connecting my router into bridge mode which i will
do tonight but if i get the solution of this problem then i dont need
to do that.
