Have I committed gross heresy? So fed up with SuSE not working with my
USB that I downloaded Ubuntu - the Live version works fine with my USB
devices, so it is just a SuSE issue...

Motherboard: ATI RS482 based socket 939
Processor: AMD 64bit 3000+

SuSE hangs on boot at "Scanning PCI bus (00)" - no combination of boot
parameters will get past this - the only thing that was allowing me to
use my system was to disable USB in the BIOS...


Which version of SUSE is this?
