I've had disasters with PM as well. I was hoping SUSE would do a better job.

I've had disasters with Win2000, just by itself! One fine day, it decided it wouldn't boot. So I had to recoup my data with Knoppix. That's when my decision to switch to Linux, and Linux exclusively, became final: if it hadn't been for Knoppix, I would have lost my data.

Admittedly, I had managed to leave a Win95 partition, which Win2000 doesn't usually permit. But Win2000 never complained. 3 months later, it just didn't boot.
