Re: editing wmv files

Hi there,

greets!

I would like to do some light editing of wmv files, mostly just cutting
and joining. is there anything good for this under Linux?

or what about converting to a format that is more at home under Linux?

Using mencoder (part of mplayer suite) you can export to other
formats. I export to DV then import those into Kino for editing,
then export back to DV, then re-encode with mencoder or ffmpeg.

You can re-encode with ffmpeg to WMV8 if you wanna share your
finished clips with Windows folk...
