Re: Yast Configuration

I've spent the weekend finally removing Windows from my home network &
replacing it with Suse 10.0. What I want to know is how to configure
Yast so that I only need to download packages & updates once onto one
machine and then deliver them to the rest of the machines on my
network.

Use cron to run an rsync job to bring down updates to a central server. The
first time this runs it will take a while as 300+MB. But each time after
it only brings down new files, very quick.

Then you just point yast2 installation source at this central server, either
mounted dir, nfs, http etc
