Need help to turn off Flash

I just installed OpenSuSE-10.1 on my newly build AMD 3000+ 64-bit
machine. I use Firefox to surf the net. However, most pages I visited
have used Macromedia Flash to show ads and/or videos. This is very
distubing to me. What I need is a way to configure my Firefox and/or
Macromedia flash not to display/play the flash/videos when I access the
page unless I click them. Can anyone please help?
