I am using a Suse 10.0 Linux box via 1.5 meg DSL using NX Client andHi
Personal Server.
The graphic effects that happen when I mouse over buttons in the task
bar cause a big pause while they draw. This is maddening. I can't
believe there are enough graphics in that effect to matter when Matlab
can throw up complex graphs almost in real time. But they are
painfully slow. It looks like a little pop up with the name and logo
of the button that fades out as black holes expand in size, finally
the little pop up goes away.
Can I disable these fancy animation effects?
Many many thanks in advance if you can alleviate my aggravation and
speed my work.
Thanks,
Jim
PS - NX is the best thing since sliced bread. Best software dollars I
ever spent.
Right click on the panel and select configure panel -> Appearance,
here you can disable these effects.
