It won't install, but is there any way to force it, and is it worth it,
is 10.0 so different to 10.1?
The app is a mobile phone sync programme (Benq-Siemens XMPM for EL71)
Thanks in advance
For your benefit.......Oh the things I do for my fellow Linux users...
Go to the web site and download the '.tgz' package. Unpack the tarball. CD
into the top level directory. As ROOT do '.bin/install.sh' . Answer yes
to the questions. When you read the readme file just hit the 'q' button to
quit the readme and type yes to the next question(s). I installed the
optional stuff and everything completed without problem. If only I had one
of those phones I could use it. So now I'll uninstall it.
So just get the tarball. It is distribution neutral and obviously, since I
just did it on my OpenSuSE 10.1 it will work on yours.
The caveat is that you too have all the prerequisites installed ??
Good luck.

Look down the page for "Distribution Independent Installer"
