Hi everyone!
I've been a happy user of SuSE 10.0 for about eight months and have been
contemplating upgrading to 10.1 but a LOT of posts like this one have
made me wonder whether I should be looking to another distrubution for
my future Linux desktop needs.
Hubert Mantel's parting shot at the Ximian folks has stuck in my mind
and I can't help but wonder if the standards have dropped after his
departure - well, clearly they have. I suppose what I mean is: I wonder
if it was he who kept the standards up. Then again it is entirely
possible that the problems with 10.1 are completely unrelated to his
departure.

Michael
1. Don't top post.
2. Don't fix it if it ain't broken.
3. Believe anybody who says bad things about 10.1.
4. Believe anybody who says good things about 10.1.
5. Be careful not to find out yourself, not to learn anything yourself.
6. Go back to 1.

P.S. Warning!!! Don't follow the link in my sig. If you still do, don't
read what you'll find there, not at least carefully!
You might end up with installing a completely good 10.1. And we don't
want that to happen, now, do we?

Sometimes I reply to top posters. Seldom. And usually just once.
