Assuming your time has no value...........

I can install PCLinuxOS, do one Synaptic (for extra multimedia stuff) and
everything works.

Total time 30-45 minutes.......

Oh and it's much faster running than bloated Suse 10.1.

I liked Suse 10.0, but 10.1 is full of bugs.


I tried PCLinuxOS. I was impressed, much better than Knoppix.
But no comparison to Suse 10.1. And I have not the bugs you speak of
and have as much speed as PCLin if not more. I believe I spend less than
an hour install 10.1. It can be bloated since it's 3.5 gig compresses
on a dvd or 5 cds. More is better when its free.
