hi
Our client is using OpenSuse 10.0 [PHP 5.0.x and Tidy]. They don't
want to install any packages from source.
You haven't explained why you want them to install from source. Both
PHP5 and Tidy are available to load on SUSE Linux 10.0 via YaST
So I have requested them to
move to 10.1 as PHP 5.1.x and Tidy is available [in rpm form].
Why do you need them to change from PHP5.0 to PHP5.1 ?
Tidy is already available in SUSE Linux 10.0 and can be installed easily
via YaST.
They would like to know some good technical reasons/advantages for
moving from 10.0 to 10.1.
Based on what you have written so far, there are none.
