I have flashplayer installed on my suse 10.1 system:
# rpm -qa |grep flash
flash-player-7.0.63.0-6
and YOU shows flash-player with a check mark, implying that it is
installed.
But it doesn't work on http://www.thefoxmoviechannel.com/ (for one).
There I am given nothing but a link to the flashplayter download site:
http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflash/
Maybe flashplayer is working on other sites and I don't notice. Or
maybe it isn't working at all.
What do I need to do to get flashplayer working on 10.1?
That's because it is not a Flashwave show but rather Shockwave. Look at
the source code. There is no Shockwave player for Linux. The webpage
also uses Active-X to launch the media file. Again, no equivalent in
Linux. And a good thing too.
