Good for you.
Well... I like to think of it this way.
Irfanview is extremely fast. It has image editing capabilities. It can
save in most formats. Above all it's fast. I've used it for years.
When I switched to SuSE 10.1, I found the programs installed - Gimp,
Eye of Gnome, Gwenview. Gimp is obviously a GREAT program. But - I dont
want to load a huge program like GIMP to crop and save an image.
Especially if I am going through hundreds of images.
Eye of Gnome is great. If you want to look at a picture.
Gwenview has "plugins" that, in my default install, do not show up or
work.
One frustration I have with the viewers supplied with suse is that none of
them seem to be capable of simply resizing an image - not even Kview.
Gwenview's batch resizing plugin just deleted everything and crashed.
So for now I have to use $> mogrify -resize 600 *.jpg
on images for emailing etc.
