When the bookmarks are exported the backup html file can be

I think the way to go is to rsync them manually.
Uh, backup file? Backups are someting entirely different again. What I
do is just do a symlink to my homesite's specificaly directory.
I wrote backup but I meant the bookmarks.html file that is
created when you export bookmarks from the browser.
Say my site is home.houghi.eu and the webdirectory is /srv/www/htdocs/ I
then just would put a symlink in that directory from
~/.mozilla/bla/bookmarks.html and I would have my bookmark available
No need to export anything. And then I seldom use a different browser
for anything. If it happens, it is to look at one site and that URL I
can copy and paste.
Different browsers show the same pages differently.
That's why anyone making web pages should use several browsers :)
I arrange my most often used bookmarks in drop down menus in the
bookmark toolbar. That bar has similar behaviour in Firefox and
Seamonkey.
Unfortunately this is called toolbar in Firefox and Personal
Toolbar in Seamonkey. And when they export the bookmarks they
produce a file called bookmarks.html.
If I take the bookmarks.html made by Seamonkey and replace the
bookmarks.html in Firefox with that they don't work correctly.
The structure is not right.
So the syncing of the files can be done easily but the file is
not compatible. The problem is to produce a compatible file
called bookmarks.html.
