Re: Wireless Config

Hi Guys,

Is a Intel Pro4 2200BG Wireless Connection (Laptop) going to be a
problem on Suse 10.1?

I "won" a Laptop with Fedora Core 5 installed - been playing around
with it. Unfortunately getting the Intel 2200BG wireless card
installed and configured seems to be a totally baffling and ill
documented rigmarole involving all sorts of stuff I am barely able
understand let alone implement.

I can't see this being any less of a problem in Suse either but I will
replace the Fedora with Suse if somebody confirms the config and
driver problems will be less difficult to deal with.

Searched Fedora groups for answers but found very little, since you
guys have answered and sorted out lots of my Suse questions and been
very helpful I was hoping somebody here knew a bit about wireless in
particular and Linux distros in general and could perhaps point me in
the right direction.

BTW already found the correct drivers for the card from Intel, its the
implementation that has me baffled but it looks like the same drivers
are used for all Linux Distros.

works fine on my Viao T1XP/L using YAST setup
