Here Is The Lay out of The Lan
There four machines presantly on the lan (WinBlowz Work Group and All
Recognized In Windows)
The one that I am wanting to set the work group up on is a Compaq Evo-500
(Workstation even though I Do plan on using is as a server in SuSE 10.1) It
Is Runing 10.1 dual boot and WindBlowz 2000 Professional the number 2
machine is an old (ML370) Proliant (Compaq) Server Now running as a web and
mail server, It Is Running WindBlowz 2000 Advance Server It is Not running
apache though I do want to get apache running on machine 1 in SuSe 10.1 as
If I can get everything to work I want to go ALL Linux.
Machine 3 is New Compaq Desktop running Windows XP Home and machine 4 is an
old machine (700Mhz) Running Win 2000 Profesional. Even though I do have 2
full domains I have this set up as a work group rather than having a domain
server manage the network, To me it was a lot simpler to do it that way.
I hope that this shed a little more light on the subject, I think It even
confused me more.
All Help Is Appreciated.
Again Thanks In Advance

I probably can't help you with all your problems but at least we can get
you
started. First, your grammar is not so good. This leads to a vague
description of your situation. So maybe we can get you to articulate more
clearly !! From what I can 'try' to deduce from your post you seem to
have
a LAN set up with 3 windows machines and one SuSE machine. The three
windows machines are:
1. Windows 2k (Advanced) Server
2. Windows 2k (Professional ?)
3. WinXP
These are connected thru the lan and are all part of your Windows
Workgroup.
The fourth machine is a Linux box but you didn't say which version of
SuSE.
Is this an older SuSE version or a newer (10.0 or 10.1) OpenSuSE ??
It seems you are trying to add the Linux machine to your network. Is this
correct ?? Are you running Apache on one of the Windows machines ? If so
I would suggest setting it up on the Linux machine instead !!
Now clarify which box the printer is connected to or is it a network
printer
connected directly to the lan ?? Is it connected to the SuSE machine ??
Start by answering these questions and clarifying what you've got. Then
we
can start to help you.
So you want to add the Linux box to your network so you can do what with
it ??
This is going to be a long thread. So be as concise as you can be
otherwise
we are just guessing.
