You could try the Nvidia drivers from here:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html

They're usually more up to date than the Yast provided ones. Make sure
you follow the instructions found here:

http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-installer-HOWTO.html

The drawback is you have to re-install the drivers every time you
update/modify the kernel. After you do it a couple of times it doesn't
take long. :)
