help me please

Well I'm not using Gnome but I do have evolution set up in kde. I created
a spread*** in OpenOfficeCalc
(and saved it as an Microsoft Spead*** -xls file extension)
and attached it to an email i sent myself.
When I open the email I have a little arrow below the text messagepointing
left. Next to that is another arrow pointing down. When I click on the
downward arrow I get the options: Save As, Open in OpenOffice.org 2.0
Calc and open in Gnumeric Spread***.
So do you have any of those programs installed ??
Clicking on those opened the file (spread***) no problem. In fact next
to
the downward pointing arrow it says 'Excell spread*** attachment'. So I
guess it knows what a 'xls' extension is...
So maybe the xls attachment you have is bogus or don't you have OpenOffice
and Gnumeric installed ??
P.S. Again I install and configure something just to help someone out.
Too
much time on my hands :-)
