Using yum to update Suse 10.1, I get these messages:
--> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait.
--> Running transaction check
--> Processing Dependency: kernel-source = 2.6.16.21-0.21 for package:
kernel-syms
--> Processing Dependency: dcraw for package: f-spot
--> Restarting Dependency Resolution with new changes.
--> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait.
--> Running transaction check
Error: Missing Dependency: dcraw is needed by package f-spot
Error: Unable to satisfy dependencies
Error: Package kernel-syms needs kernel-source = 2.6.16.21-0.21, this is
not available.
Error: Package f-spot needs dcraw, this is not available.
Then yum exits without updating anything.
I switched to Suse some weeks ago. I rarely if ever had any trouble
with yum on Fedora.
What is wrong? I'm guessing somebody didn't get the yum repos right for
10.1. I'm using the Argonne Lab repo.
