I know nothing of Gammu and it's not even SuSE but when I connect my Zaurus to Nokia over Bluez (for PPP) I issue this command sequence:
root@zaurus:/> hcitool con
Connections:
< ACL 00:60:57:6C:2A:D6 handle 40 state 1 lm MASTER
root@zaurus:/> rfcomm connect hci0 00:60:57:6C:2A:D6 1
Connected /dev/rfcomm0 to 00:60:57:6C:2A:D6 on channel 1
Press CTRL-C for hangup
IIRC the first time you do that it will attempt to pair the devices.
I can then use rfcomm0
