Where did compress/uncompress go?

Recently I installed openSuse Linux 10.1 and have it running quite OK. Now I
would like to install Borland JBuilder, but can´t get it working. The
JBuilder package contains some .tar.Z files that the install scripts fail to
uncompress. The script first tries gunzip, but is told that the file is not
in gzip format. Then it tries uncompress and is told "sh: uncompress:
command not found". I have also tried to uncompress some of the files
manually (from bash) with the same poor result. What should I do?
