Hi - I have a new Dell 2007FPW widescreen monitor, with a native resolution
of 1680x1050. My difficulty is that when I try to run Suse 10.0 or 10.1 at
this resolution (or any of the other wide screen formats I have tried) the
screen doesnt fit the desktop any more.
I also have issues with SuSE-10.1/widescreen on a new LCD TV: Olevia
432-S12. It has a native resolution of 1366x720. Using the
tiny-nvidia-installer (Biostar GeForce 7600 GS) I was able get the
graphics adapter to use this resolution :) and the screen fits perfectly.
However I'm noticing that most Apps like Pan and YaST show very small
fonts, much smaller than expected. I don't see this behavior on FC5, where
the fonts are satisfying.
I'm reluctant to start adjusting the default font sizes in Control Center
since this wasn't necessary in Fedora.
I'm seeing this same behavior in SuSe 10.1 32 bit and 9.3 x86_64 running
in multi-boot all on this hardware. This seems to be some behavior native
to SuSE.
