SUSE 10.1 - Intel ICH5R Software RAID - NTFS

Hello all!
I managed to install SUSE 10.1 from a Remastered DVD with non-OSS. It
seems to run smoothly so far, but now I want to gain access to the
RAID1 SATA disks on the ICH5R controller onboard. The stage I am at the
moment is that the device mapper seems to be properly installed and
detecting the RAID drive in /dev/mapper/isw_blablabla_raidname and the
volume on it as /dev/mapper/isw_blablabla_raidname1. If I type
$ dmraid -ay
it is recognised and installed properly and I can see its content.
There are two issues however:
1. The mounting
I want to mount the RAID volume in /mnt/win/F, alongside my other two
Windows NTFS partitions which reside in /mnt/win/C and /mnt/win/D
respectively. I create the folder /mnt/win/F logged on as root and I
have to run the mount command
$ mount /dev/mapper/isw_blablabla_raidname1 /mnt/win/F
to have the RAID volume mounted where i want it to be mounted. I
cannot, however, access it from my normal user, Konqueror reporting
that the access is forbidden when i try to click on the /mnt/win/F
drive. So I went as root again and typed in
$ chmod a+rw /mnt/win/F
Accessing the folder then as normal user would try to go one step
further, in that it will try to open the folder and then complain again
about the rights to access the contents of the folder. I want this
folder to be accessible to all users, at least as read-only, if not as
read-write.
What am I doing wrong here? I am new to Linux, so detailed information
would be appreciated, if possible.
2. Startup mounting
Now that I know the software is in place to access the RAID volume, I
would like it to be mounted at startup and accessible to all user, but
I have no idea how to do it. I was thinking to place the mounting
points and properties in fstab, but I don't know if the device mapper
will be loaded at the stage fstab is active, and I don't know where
should I activate the RAID volume with "dmraid -ay". Any help will be
highly appreciated!
Cheers,
Romeo
