Replace router but WINS server returns old IP

Has a router with the linux server (suse 9.2) acting as a PDC and WINS
server. Linux was on 192.168.2.3
Replace router and reboot all PC including linux box.
Linux PC now has IP 192.168.123.152
Connect to the new router via VPN. All OK
Can ping remote server (ping 192.168.123.152), but when ping with netbios
name (ping linux) the remote pc tries to Ping 192.168.2.3 (ie the old IP).
Appears that the wins server is returning the incorrect address. Looking at
wins.dat, the wrong ip is shown.
I have deleted wins.dat and browse.dat and restarted samba, but when the
wins.dat file regenerates, it brings back 192.168.2.3.
Any idea how I can solve this?
