daemons that are installed and run on boot. In the Installation GUI I
try to unselect all these things but it then requires dependencies and
when I click install it ends up installing all that I don't want from
the standard server group. How do I install without all the extras?
Start with 'minimal install' and then select what you want. Then it is
much easier to not install anything you do not want. Once you have done
that, you can start adding things that you want, but most likely this
_might_ result in selecting things that you might not want.
Some software depends on other software, so you have to select either
both or neither. The reason is that otherwise the selections you made
won't work anyway.
What houghi just described is the Curse of Unix. :*D
